    Joyce had issues, but he was brilliant. I managed to find a copy of “Stephen Hero” at a used bookstore once. It was the original version of “Portrait of the Artist” that he tossed in the fire after a publisher slammed it. His wife pulled it out when he wasn’t looking and saved a large part of it (still a fragment). Anyway, if you can find a copy, it’s worth a read. Cheers!

    • I’m planning to do so, I love ‘portrait’ and Ulysses even more. The other thing is he tried to publish Dubliners for 8 years until it happened so his career was tough enough
