    This is a wonderful choice in pairing the painting of Hopper’s Automat and Musil’s quote.
    Well done….both feed off on one another. I love Hopper’s paintings, more so in the night urban settings than in his lighhouse/shore days…perhaps because the night snapshots alway seem to tell a more encompassing story line than those of the shorelines in the NE (for me anyway). There is always some other part to the night time paintings and the essence of loneliness lingering inside.
