Mr Bloom promptly did as suggested and removed the incriminated article, a blunt hornhandled ordinary knife with nothing particularly Roman or antique about it to the lay eye, observing that the point was the least conspicuous point about it.

Joyce being the champion of creativity in the most usual of situations continues to amaze with every word. This little part here is actually quite an original way to subtly disclose different points of view belonging to Daedalus and Bloom. Then it all comes to an unexpected twist with the ghost of Brutus leaning over your shoulder. Boo-hoo.
