F. Nietzsche – Thus spake Zarathustra

‘…but whoever fisheth where there are no fish, I do not even call him superficial’

One of my all-time favorites. At least it was some time ago when I still though it was possible to determine empty, fishless areas of experience. While thinking, in general, a strange thing happens. If you start to, metaphorically, fish by a hole in the ground, let alone water being there, you might catch pretty much anything, even a magic fish. You can do research on most superficial, senseless products of modern pop culture and come up with revelations about human nature, perception, emotions or something not yet named. Mr. Zarathustra is mistaken here. Anyone who fisheth shell be rewarded with worldly treasures.
